Indian Submarine INS Sindhu Rakshak exploded in Mumbai

A recently renovated Indian submarine exploded and sank early today in Mumbai, leaving rescuers hurry to find 18 sailors who were present in the submarine. An explosion resulting in a major fire took place on board INS Sindhu Rakshak shortly after midnight.

The INS Sindhurakshak was recently upgraded in a Russian shipyard and returned back to india. The Indian Navy has ordered and inquiry to investigate the causes behind the explosion resulting in a major fire. The cause of the explosion and blaze, one day ahead of India’s independence day is still not known. Navy chief will be visiting the dockyard today.
