Balaramapuram Handloom products will reach United States during the Onam season of 2021.
About 3 crores worth of handloom products will be send to United States in 4 different stages / lots.
This will be hugely benefit those who are working in the making handloom products during the Covid pandemic.
The decision to export handloom products to United States will be life changing decision for many working in the field and it is decided during an online meeting convened by Center for Science and Innovation Center.
The meeting was attended by Union Minister V.Muraleedharan and Americal Malayali Associations.
Cissa General Secretary C. Suresh Kumar has told that about 20,000 products which are in stock will be procured directly and exported to United States.
Member of KHNA. Ms.Sunitha has placed the first order for 300 handloom sarees and mundus each.
An ecommerce website will be started for the sale of Balaramapuram Handloom during the month of September 2021.
It was also decided to form a company with the help of Handloom workers with the help of NABARD.
