AICTE is the regulatory and authorizing body for those educational institutions which are conducting courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Management, Applied Art and Craft, Hotel Management etc. This is for the first time an office is being solely launched for a single state. The office will start functioning in the MBA building located inside Trivandrum Engineering College Campus. The decision on providing a temporary office space for AICTE was earlier taken by the kerala government. In kerala there are about 363 technical education institutions which are certified and regulated by AICTE. The whole-hearted efforts by Malayali AICTE members like Dr Kunjeria Issac, Dr Abdul Rahman has helped in opening of the office in Kerala.
