Lots of devotees are visiting pazhavangadi temple to see the god in a newly consecrated golden idol. For the past one week several special poojas were happening in the temple for the consecration of this new idol in the temple. People have started coming from far away places to see the god in new golden idol. Secuirty in the temple has been tightened as more soliders been deployed. Indian Army is taking care of the security which is the unique feature of this temple. Golden idol for the god has been made by the gold offerings made by the people to the temple. The festival of reconsecration of the idol will end on the 7th for this month with Sahasrakalasha Abhishekam. It is expected that the number of people visiting the temple will increase during the holidays of Saturday and Sunday.
