A handful of new projects has been offered to trivandrum in the address of the Governor in the kerala legislative assembly as part of kerala governments budget session. In the address message governor has announced that to solve the flood problem inside trivandrum city during monsoon season, a new ideas canal will be develped in the city. New security measures will be taken to safeguard the assets of sree padmanabha swamy temple with the latest yet sophisticated security equipments and with maximum manpower of security personnels.
Some of the projects which are announced by Governor are, For the development of trivandrum international airport about 82 acres will be acquired by the government. A multi speciality animal hospital will be set up in kudapanakunnu trivandrum. The vizinjam will be developed as deep water multipurpose sea port project. Inorder to improve costal security international security code will be implemented in vizhinjam. A training centre which is considered as one of the biggest in asia is being constructed by TCS in trivandrum.
This year a new campus of Gulathi Institute of Finace and Taxation will be commissioned in Sreekaryam this year itself. Inorder to act in emergency situations a swift action team of police department will be set up in trivandrum. A numismatic museum will be constructed in Trivandrum. A modern art gallery will be constrcted in trivandrum. A film city and amusement park will be built in trivandrum based on BOT method.
