A complainted has been raised by the locals living in and around karikkakam that they are not getting drinking water through proper government supplies. About 500 families are facing this issue in karikkakam, the place is located inside trivandrum corporation area. The people are saying that even after registering complaints with the authorities, they havent taken any action. The locals are planning to go on organising strikes against the inaction of the concerned authories.
