Prof. (Dr.) P J Joseph, President, Toc H Educational Institutions, has received the Cal Catterall Fund award from the International School Psychology Association (ISPA) for his contributions towards the development of school psychology in India.
Dr Joseph was presented the award at the ISPA’s annual conference of school psychologists held recently in Porto, Portugal. The Amsterdam-based ISPA gives the award –which includes an invitation and funding to travel to its annual conference and an annual membership of the association – to select academics and professionals in the education sector who have worked to improve psychological support for children and young people.
Dr Joseph, is a former Professor and Head of Post Graduate and Research Department of English at Union Christian College, Alwaye. As a teacher and educationalist with decades of experience, he has held several key positions on committees and associations at the state and He is one of the Founder Members of the Commonwealth Association for the Education & Training of Adults, and also a writer with a number of books and articles to his credit.
Dr Joseph was the sole delegate from India invited to attend the 35th Annual Conference of ISPA in Portugal where he submitted a paper “The Influence of Environment in Education While Working Beyond the Walls”.
