Praveshanotsavam-school-reopened-on-june-3rd-2013

Like every other year monsoon has reined on the day of school of re-opening in order to wet the new school uniforms and bags. For some kids it was day of agony and for some it was a day of curiosity. About 3.5 lakh children have started their school years today. Schools in kerala has re-opened today after 2 months of summer vacation. All most all the schools in kerala have conducted praveshanotsavam to welcome new entrants at the beginning of the academic year. As part of praveshanotsam, cultural programs and chendamelams have been organized along with giving sweets and small gifts, some schools have even organized feasts.

The state wide inaguration of praveshanothsavom was done by minister for education in kerala PK Abdurabb.

Recently government have taken measures  to secure the travel of school children in school buses and vans.
