Sukruthapuram Project : Drawing Competition for Students

In a situateion where garbage disposal in the district is in a state of dilema, to find a solution for the issue, clean city mission and malayala manorama is organising a drawing competition using water colors for students in the district. The project is named as Sukrithapuram. Drawing competition will be conducted as tow sections both for childrens studying from 5th to 8th standard and for students from 9th to 12th standard. During the competition an A-3 size paper will be given to students by the organisers, water colors and brushes for painting should be brought by the participants. This competition will be held on 5th of february 2012. Those who are interested in participating in the competition should register in advance.

Government will assist in the total development of NCC

Honorable Minister for Education in Kerala, P K Abdurabb has told that the government will give all assistance in the development of NCC in the state. Minister has told that government is looking into the matters with utmost consideration. Minister was taking at the banner ceremony organised by the education department which as held for giving award for kerala and lakshdweep cadets who have attended the republic day parade in delhi. NCC cadets has surpassed and stood stern at all the unfavorable climatic conditions in attaining prestigious acheivements for the state are the promiese of the future. Previously also NCC cadets has bought in presigious awards for the state. Minister has also asserted that the NCC must work hard in bringing more achievements for the state. Group commander has received Trophy and Flag from the minister who have excelled in their NCC related activities.

Annual Celebration in Satya Sai Vidya mandir

The 4th annual celebration of Sathaya Sai Vidya Mandir has been celebrated. The celebration is inaugurated by the MD of State Bank of Travancore, P Nandakumar. P Raveendran Nair who is the son of the great poet P Kunjiraman Nair. As part of this project chidrens who resides in the local area and living in the financially backward families are given education. Classes are being taken under a tree where the basic education is imparted to the students till class 4 it will create a harmony with the nature. classes are arranged in such manner that there will 1 teacher for 7 students. Food, Dress and books are given freely and the health of children and their family will be taken care of Sai Gramam. Along with usual education pattern children will be imparted with skills on computers, arts & sports, drawing and other skill development. For implementing this education pattern the trust is spending about 2 lakh ruppes per month.
