What is Kerala PSC 10th Level Preliminary Exam?
Unlike earlier days, PSC has decided to conduct exam in 2 separate stages.
At first there will be screening test and it will be followed by the main test.
Final rank list will be published as per the marks you secure in the Main Test.
Moreover those clearing screening test will only be able to appear for Main Exam.
This is actually a recommended move by Kerala PSC to conduct prelimiary exam.

- Preliminary Exam will be conducted only for those posts which are expected to have applicants in huge numbers.
- Separate screening tests for those posts having minimum qualification as SSLC, Plus 2, and Degree.

- New improvements are based on the UPSC exam pattern.
- There will be no screening tests for posts that need technical qualifications, those posts with basic qualifications as medical and engineering degree, teaching posts, and for the recruitment of the post of Driver.

- The preliminary Exam will follow OMR type questions.
- The second exam might be OMR/Descriptive/Online, which will be held as per the decision of the Kerala Public Service Commission.
- Screening Tests will be conducted for exams that are notified already, which are expected to be notified till September 2020, and for those posts for which Kerala psc has not taken any measures till now to conduct exams.
- Kerala PSC will follow the exam pattern as per Staff Selection Commission Exams.
- Screening Test will be conducted for upcoming exams like the Last Grade, LD Clerk, Secretariat / University / Company Board Assistant, Village Man, Village Assistant Exams.

12th Level Preliminary Exam will be conducted for exams like Civil Police Office, Excise Officer, Fireman, Fireman Driver etc.
The 3rd category is of Degree Level Preliminary Exam for which screening test will be conducted for KAS (Kerala Administrative Service), Block Panchayath Secretary, Junior Employment Officer, Secretariat Assistant, Company Corporation Board Assistants & University Assistant.
As of now and information from sources it has to be noted that there will be no preliminary exam for LP/UP Assistant Exam 2020.
The official confirmation regarding the preliminary exam for LP/UP Assistant Exam is not yet confirmed by Kerala Public Service Commission.
