State School IT Fest will be conducted on 1st and 2nd of February, 2012 in park centre inside Technopark, Trivandrum. This information is disclosed by Anwar Sadath who is the executive director of IT @ School program, Kerala.
About 500 students from all over kerala will be participating in the fest along with those students who have secured 1st and 2nd positions in district level. Separate competition will be held for students from high school, higher secondary and vocational higher secondary. Competitions will be conducted in four venues divided in to digital painting, IT projects, multimedia presentation, web page designing etc which are being created used open source software
As part of this fest students will have the opportunity to share ideas with the eminent persons from the IT Industry. Special classes on topics like Green Computing and Mobile Computing will be held on 1st of February at 2 pm and 4 pm. The classes will be handled by ICFOS Director Satish Babu and Achuth Sankar who is the Director of Informatics, Kerala University.
On February 2nd prize distribution ceremony will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Kerala, Oommen Chandy and function for giving e-india 2011 award for IT@School.
