FLAGAS’K , a seven member French band who describe themselves as “Groupe festif” started with a reggae debut in 2005.Since then, Flagas’k has explored and tried to break down barriers, and thus has been able to evolve its music. It has performed nearly 150 concerts throughout the west.
They started their discography in 2009, with their debut album “Paramnesie” that showcases the beauty of contemporary music. This was followed by a second album in 2010. It is on the road and festivals that the group has acquired depth and richness of the music. Its sound and music can be best described as a mix of French music, ska, reggae, jazz and rock, among other genres and which provides its own unique musical stature.
Bringing together different musical worlds, artists of FLAGAS’K have a passion for the stage and their audience, and the desire to share the oneness of music, humour and emotion. This is a group with multiple influences, from Manu Chao or Rue Kétanou to the fanfare of heavy wind instruments, guitar, drums, electronic piano and bass.
The musical evening will start off with a performance by SOULJAM, a Trivandrum based classical rock band.
