A person working in Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s grievance cell has been sacked on charges of seeking sexual favours from a complainant.
K. P. Girish Kumar has been fired from the office following the woman’s complaint. The accused was dismissed on June 19 following a departmental inquiry. The Chief Minister’s office had said that Girish Kumar was kept out of office soon after receiving the complaint.
The woman from Kollam, had approached the call centre with her grievance and the sacked official Gireesh reportedly made telephonic contacts with her over a period of time and invited her over telephone to have sexual relationship, besides giving her phone number to two of his close friends. The woman disclosed that she had submitted a complaint in this regard about a month ago.
Earlier, two employees of the Chief Minister’s Office were removed and told to go on leave for having links with a couple who had allegedly cheated numerous people of Rs.5 crore after promising them solar panels.
